Animation Favicon

Creation of an animation icon for a site differs from use of a usual icon by that, that the animation icon necessarily should have a format gif.

For creation of animation any program which can create animation figure from a set of frames will approach. So for example, it is possible to use Macromedia Flash. One of the widespread tools for creation of animation is Adobe ImageReady.

Creation of an animation icon

For creation of animation it is necessary to create figure in the size 16x16 pixels in Adobe Photoshop.

Create on one image some layers which will simulate animation (that is the image on layers should be various). Save the image in format PSD.

Pass in Adobe ImageReady and through menu Window/Animation open panel`ja animations. Open saved images in a format psd and dobavte on the panel such quantity{amount} of the staff, how much layers the image has. For each staff on panele layers switch on only one layer (the others should be latent). If necessary for each staff it is possible to change time of his{its} display.

For this purpose under everyone the staff click the right button of the mouse and choose a necessary interval.

After creation of the staff it is necessary to save animation File/Save Optimized As in format GIF.

After loading figure on a site, it is necessary for browser to specify, that as an icon he would use not favicon.ico and figure gif. For this purpose after the description meta tegov in a file it is necessary to switch on a line:
